SIA Training Overview

Security Industry Authority (SIA) training is required for individuals who want to work in the private security industry in the UK.

The most popular course is the Door Supervisor course which allows candidates to work in roles such as event security, nightclub security, retail security, and corporate security.

Once the course is completed successfully, candidates can apply for their SIA licence which is required to legally work in security roles.

Individuals under 18 years old must obtain written permission, from a parent or guardian in order to attend the course.

Assessment

Course assessment will consist of multiple-choice examinations and practical assessments.

Delegates must successfully complete all training modules and pass the required exams.
A practical assessment will also be conducted for physical intervention techniques.

Candidates who pass will receive a Level 2 qualification required to apply for an SIA licence.
